   Dams and reservoir are built essential for harnessing the surface water  resources, so that water could be conserved for various utilizations like irrigation, hydropower, water supply etc. The storage of flood waters also results in flood moderation thus reducing the flood fury. HS and Associates has a wide range of experience in dams and reservoir engineering particularly monsoon originated floods accentuation with perennial flows.

   A number of important steps in regard to procedures and rules for dam safety assurance have been devised. HS & Associates and its constituent organization Central Water Commission along with various state agencies have evolved guidelines, standards and norms for carrying out inspection, investigation, hydrological studies, structural analysis including effect of seism city, for safety of the dam structure and evolving appropriate remedial measures. We have also been providing consultancy services for dam safety review and appropriate rehabilitation measures for projects in Yemen.
