Narrative Description of Project:
Sana'a Basin Project is located in the central highlands of Yemen and includes the capital city of Sana'a. The basin has an area of 3200 Km2 and an average elevation of 2200 m above sea level. The current population of the basin is about 1.5 million, out of which 0.3 million live in the rural area, the basin includes 110,000 hectares (ha) of arable land of which 24,000 (ha) is currently being irrigated. Farms are being irrigated by abstracting ground water through wells, the basin is experiencing a serious depletion of ground water resource with an associated alarming degradation in water quality due to the rapid growth in population. The work includes topographic survey, preparation of detailed designs, tender documents and construction supervision of Sana'a Basin Water Management Project the scope of work included construction of three dams, rehabilitation of two dams and checkup works of one dam..

Narrative Description of Project:
Two reinforced concrete water reservoirs with reservoirs with capacities of 4000 m³ and 6000 m³; a water pumping station, and replacement of 15 km of DCI pipes DN150 – DN600; 32km of PVC pipes DN8O to DN100; 200km of HDPE pipes DN25 to DN63, and 50km of plastic coated galvanized steel pipes. The scope of services includes some independent activities, and activities that are dependent upon other activities, task approach is proposed to carry out the construction supervision works on behalf of TWSLC. The services divided into the following tasks:
Bid evaluation and contract finalization, supervision of construction works, including supply and installation of electrical/mechanical equipment, supervision of corrective actions during defect liability period, supervision relevant to the requirements specified under the environmental monitoring and mitigation plan, training, prepare various reports.
